New COVID-19 Service Plan

The Library plays an important role in our community as a community hub and public education center.  Due to the popularity and regular use of the Library for a wide variety of purposes that go beyond a transactional pick-up of materials and include extended visits for working, studying, meetings, and more, the potential for passing on the virus within the Library during normal operations is potentially high.

In order to help limit community spread of COVID-19, as well as continue to provide needed services to the public as safely as possible with required staffing levels, the Library will limit or shift available services to coincide with the Advisory Levels set for Boone County by the Indiana Department of Health.  These updates are made public on a weekly basis on Wednesdays at 12 PM.  Changes in Library service levels will take place on the Monday following two full weeks at a changed Advisory Level.

The current Advisory Level can be found on the Indiana COVID-19 Dashboard.

The following service-level changes will be in place until COVID spread has been completely eliminated in Boone County.

All parts of this service plan are subject to change.  The Library will make every effort to advertise any changes to the services available to the community in advance.

Please check the Library Info page for updated information about our hours and available services.

Thank you for using the Library!
