Mar 18, 2025 A Workshop to Jumpstart Your Novel
Do you have a story inside that you’ve just got to tell? A novel you’ve been mulling over, perhaps for years? Maybe you’ve outlined a plot, fleshed out characters, or even started writing chapters. Larry Sweazy really wants to help.
An award-winning author based in Noblesville, Larry has created a 3-hour workshop to give very practical advice on how to move that book along – to the point of publishing.
From time management to nuts-and-bolts writing tips to submitting pitches, Larry has invaluable information to share.
“The hardest part of writing a novel is finishing it,” he says. “The day by day grind it takes to write a novel can be overwhelming. Great ideas tire out. Real life gets in the way. Doubt takes over.” He understands the struggle. He’s been living his writing dream for 30 years and has published 19 novels, his first at age 49.
“The Big Secret: Starting and Finishing Your Novel” is designed for both beginning and seasoned writers. It will be held Saturday, April 26, from 1-4 p.m. at the Whitestown Branch of the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, 6310 Albert S. White Drive, Whitestown, IN. Adults and teens are welcome at this free workshop, just register at https://hmmpl.libcal.com/event/13928292. Come prepared to write!
