As a public agency, we abide by the Access to Public Records Act outlined in Indiana Code: (I.C. 5-14-3).
Adults who are unaccompanied by children, and who are not searching for or retrieving library materials in the Youth Services Department, should spend their time in other areas of the Library.

The Library offers a variety of cards to individuals using the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library.

Bulletin boards are to be used for publicity about Library events, cultural, and educational events.
We offer printing and copying services with fees associated with these services based on the cost of the supplies
Library staff will proctor distance learning exams for resident card holders and HMMPL nonresident card holders.
To request a proctored exam, please print and fill out this form and return it to the Library.
Social software includes any site used by the Library that facilitates the sharing of opinions about library-related subjects.

Our staff encourages children to come explore the Library, but we do have policies in place for unattended children.
When weather-related or other emergencies prevent the Library from being able to provide adequate service, the Public Library will be closed.
