Let Us Bring The Library To You

In order to eliminate barriers and seamlessly connect our community to Library services, we offer the following outreach services.

WHAT IS THE BOOKMOBILE?

Our rolling library

The bookmobile is our rolling library that holds bestsellers, large print books, children’s books, and more! You can pick up holds, check out items and return materials at a location close to you. If you don’t have a Library card yet, we can issue one on the spot.

For further details, email Bookmobile staff at hmmpl2go@hmmpl.org
Where can I find the Bookmobile schedule?

Public bookmobile stops are listed on our event calendar.

Who can use the Bookmobile?

Anyone is welcome to visit the Bookmobile during a scheduled public event. Some events may be offered in conjunction with other organizations and participation may be limited at those times.

Only Evergreen cardholders may checkout materials from the Bookmobile.

WHAT IS HOMEBOUND DELIVERY?

For your accessibility

Our Homebound delivery service, Books to Go, meets the needs of patrons who cannot access our Library building or the Bookmobile.
Each month, we deliver materials to those unable to visit the Library due to age, illness or disability. We personalize each delivery based on preferences and requests. Our Books to Go service is completely free to cardholders. Need a card to get started? We can help with that too, simply complete our Get a Card form.
If you know someone who would benefit from this service, ask a librarian for more information!

Who qualifies?

Qualifying applicants must be unable to visit the Library regularly (more than once a month) due to age, illness, or disability, either temporary or permanent. Examples include:
