Oct 20, 2023 Changes Coming to Kanopy
Starting November 1, 2023, the viewing experience on Kanopy will be easier than ever with the switch from play credits to tickets. HMMPL Card Holders will receive 15 tickets to spend each month on thousands of feature films, documentaries and bingeable series.
From a title’s details page, you will be able to easily see how many tickets are required and how long you’ll have to watch it before pressing play. Keep track of how many tickets you have available in the upper right corner of your screen.
Generally, plan to “spend” one ticket on shorts, two tickets on some movies and documentaries, four tickets on Major Studio releases, and up to five tickets for bingeable episodic content, including Great Courses. (By the way, you can also find Great Courses on Hoopla, available through our Digital Library Branch, or at the Library in our DVD collection.) As always, you can watch unlimited Kanopy Kids content, which will not count towards your ticket limit.
