Citizen Science Day

Citizen Science Day

Saturday, April 13 @ Noon – 3 PM

A partnership between Zionsville Parks & Recreation and the Library

Join us for the inaugural Zionsville Citizen Science Day, where volunteers can join scientists to answer real-world questions. Learn about upcoming science-based programs and research projects where you can contribute or volunteer! Several organizations will be on hand to share information and materials: Marion University ECOLAB, STEM Connection, Nature Conservancy, Zion Nature Center, and Amos Butler Audubon.

Odds are, there is a citizen science project that coincides with a hobby, interest, or curiosity that you may have. Available fields are diverse and, for many projects, you don’t have to go farther than their own backyard to contribute!

This is an exciting partnership between Zionsville Parks and Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. Special presentations will be offered at the Library and Zion Nature Sanctuary, so please check the event venue when registering. Most events are designed for adults and children, with the exception of the last event of the day, which is for adults: Turn Your Garden into a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
