Registration is open for three dates in March!
We are so pleased to announce that we can now offer THREE Community Volunteer Days during which residents may come into the Whitestown Branch and help us prepare for our Grand Opening next month*.
Saturday, March 23 @ 10 AM – 2 PM
Tuesday, March 26 @ 11 AM – 7 PM
Thursday, March 28 @ 11 AM – 7 PM
Thank you for the many offers of help we have received over the last several months, with even more flooding in this past week. Now is a great time to help us prepare for our opening as we will have a variety of tasks that need to be completed. Simply register for the day and shift you would like and you will be able to choose your favorite way to help:
- Greet and sign-in volunteers
- Organize books on shelves
- Plant flower seeds outside
- Tidy-up spaces throughout the building
- Tear down boxes
- Drop off snacks or drinks for volunteers
- And much more!
There are more than 55,000 new titles that must be placed and organized properly on the shelves so please consider signing up for one of our two-hours shifts. As a perk, you will receive the opportunity to see inside this beautiful new Library Branch. Plus, some of your fellow volunteers will be providing free snacks and drinks.
We so appreciate your assistance and the enthusiasm we are hearing from residents throughout the Library’s service area! We look forward to seeing you at one of our Community Volunteer Days!
