Former New York City mob prosecutor, ordained minister, and chaplain, Rev. Ellen Corcella will visit the library to showcase her book, Walk with Me: A Journey through the Landscape of Trauma.

This raw and honest memoir traces one woman’s path through loss, grief, and healing. From the courtroom to the hospital room, Corcella brings deep empathy and spiritual courage to moments of unbearable pain—offering presence, not platitudes.

With vivid stories—like baptizing a prisoner in a hospital bed or offering comfort to a blind, suicidal patient—Walk with Me doesn’t flinch. It asks: Can we live with our trauma, rather than run from it?

This event will consist of Rev. Corcella doing a reading, a discussion on her writing process, an educational segment on trauma care, as well as a book signing.
