Get to know the HMMPL staff! Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members. This week, meet Shayene Cordill! Shayene works with Admin and Marketing team as our Community Engagement and Marketing Assistant. Here are a few fun facts about her!
Hobbies: In my free time I like reading, painting, spending time with my cats and saving recipes on social media that I’ll never cook.
Favorite Book Genre: I like romance novels and motivational self-help/personal development books. But children’s books have all my heart, they are the best!
Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: I am a little bit of a gamer. My favorites are The Sims, Delicious World, and Plants vs Zombies.
Years at HMMPL: Brand new, 0 years
Favorite part of working at the Library: I love being part of the transformation that libraries bring to a community. I grew up with the closest library being almost 2 hours from where I lived and I can`t even imagine how fulfilled my childhood would have been if I had one around me. I am very happy to work at the library!
Favorite Snack: Brownies and dry strawberries covered in white chocolate. I could eat it all day long!
Where will patrons find you at the Library: I am usually on the 3rd floor of the Library in Zionsville, but you will see me taking pictures and videos all over the place in both branches Zionsville and Whitestown.
