Get to know the HMMPL staff! Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members. This week, meet Carrie Voliva, a Collection Development Librarian in the Tech Services Department. Here are a few fun facts about her.
Hobbies: Reading; spending time with my family; traveling; going to concerts, plays, and musicals.
Favorite Book Genre: Thrillers are my favorite, but I also love realistic fiction that gets to the heart of the human experience and stays with me after I’ve read it.
Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: “Mmmbop” by Hanson is my favorite song, and Hanson is still my favorite band. I have seen them in concert more than any other artist and love that they’re still making new music every year.

Favorite part of working at the Library: Seeing all the new books come in!
Favorite Snack: Reese’s Cups–I’m a chocoholic and love sweets!
Where will patrons find you at the Library: You’ll often find me in the Youth Services Department looking at which sections need more updates, but most often I’m in the Tech Services Department on the 3rd floor ordering books.
