Get to know the HMMPL staff! Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members. This week, meet Karen MacKay, a Page at the Whitestown Branch.
Here are a few fun facts about her:
Hobbies: Travel, sewing, crochet, photography, gardening.
Favorite Book Genre: I love a good mystery. I am also a huge fan of non-fiction books. I love to try new things so I will often take out a new book and try my hand at a new skill!
Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: Favorite movies are the Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. These remind me of my childhood and also watching with my daughter when she was growing up.
Years at HMMPL: I have been at HMMPL since March this year.
Favorite part of working at the Library: I love being a part of the community and seeing patrons enjoy our new space in Whitestown. Since joining I have learned so much about all the things we have to offer at HMMPL. The Maker Space is awesome!
Favorite Snack: A good piece of Cadburys chocolate from England.
Where will patrons find you at the Library: All over the Whitestown branch, re-shelving the books!
