Apr 09, 2024 Winner of the 2024 YA March Madness Bracket!
During the month of March, the Teen & Adult Services Department hosted a YA March Madness bracket where people could stop and vote for their favorite YA (Young Adult) fiction books.
The original 32 titles were chosen based on the most circulated and hyped-up books of 2023. Each week our Teen & Adult librarians tallied up the votes and narrowed down the next round of contenders. On Sat., April 6th, the final votes of the Championship Round were tallied and the winner of the 2024 YA March Madness bracket was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, by J.K. Rowling!
It won by a landslide during the final week with 20 votes more than its fellow finalist, Eragon, by Christopher Paolini.
Over the course of the month, we had over 80 participants cast their votes. The bracket was such a success, and it brought so many smiles, that we would love to offer this again next Spring!
