Oct 28, 2026 Set Sail on HMMPL’s Winter Reading Odyssey!
As the chilly winds of winter set in, set sail on a reading adventure with Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library’s Winter Reading Odyssey! Readers of all ages are invited to explore new stories, discover magical worlds and make reading part of their winter routine.
Registration opens Sunday, November 1, through Beanstack, our online reading log. Everyone who registers can stop by either Library branch to pick up a registration prize: hot chocolate drink packets!
The adventure continues December 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027. Participants can work toward their individual goal of reading 20 minutes a day for 21 days during the challenge period.
Completion Prizes: Participants who complete their reading goal can choose a prize: galaxy stress balls or stroopwafels!
Grand Prizes: Participants will also be entered into a drawing for one of six grand prizes, featuring prizes from Newfields, Color Me Mine and the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Whether you’re gathering your crew for a family read-aloud, curling up with a favorite book or venturing into an unfamiliar world between the pages, every reading adventure counts. Track your progress, earn fun prizes and discover where a good book can take you.
Your next great adventure begins at the Library. Register here for Winter Reading Odyssey and let the journey begin!
