September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library is inviting residents to take a fresh look at what their Library card can do.
This year’s theme, “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” celebrates the many ways a Library card can connect people with resources, experiences and opportunities that fit their interests and goals.
A Library card may have once been primarily a ticket to borrowing books, but today it opens the door to so much more. At HMMPL, cardholders have access to digital resources, technology, creative tools, educational support, programs and more—all at no cost.
“A Library card really is a gateway to so much more than books,” says Kristin Shelley, HMMPL’s Executive Director. “There are resources here for every stage of life, and I think people are often surprised when they learn just how much they can access through the Library.”
