Mar 19, 2018 Teen Volunteer Corps
was created just for you!
Students who love reading and love the Library have a special opportunity to volunteer this summer. Teen Volunteer Corps (TVC) is our summer volunteer program for students currently in grades 6 – 12 (joining 7th grade in Fall 2018). Corps members are a very important part of the Library’s Summer Reading program from beginning to end. They work with our Youth and Teen librarians to help children and teens sign up, enjoy special events and pass out prizes.
You’ve seen us in action
If you’ve dropped by the Library during a recent summer, or attended an event, you’ve seen our volunteers in orange t-shirts ready to help. Volunteering is not a massive commitment; students will volunteer during an assigned two-hour shift once a week for about 8 weeks. We understand how busy your lives are and we want to help you fit this volunteer opportunity into your hectic summer schedule.
Our Library could not offer the terrific Summer Reading program we do, without the help of our great volunteers! That’s why we are always looking for interested students who are ready to volunteer and have fun. TVC informational flyers are available at the Zionsville middle and high school libraries, and at Hussey-Mayfield’s Teen and Youth Reference Desks.
