United We Read

United We Read

The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library is teaming up with other libraries in Boone County to offer the United We Read initiative. This county-wide reading program gives residents the opportunity to read a selected title and discuss it with their friends and neighbors. The Hussey-Mayfield Library is currently offering several events in Zionsville to foster conversations between readers.

This year’s selection for United We Read is The Bookshop of Yesterdays by Amy Meyerson. This novel tells the story of Miranda Brook, a young woman who inherits her late uncle’s failing bookstore. Tucked between the pages of endless stacks of books are hints and puzzles to a fantastic scavenger hunt. Each answer leads to more riddles and deeper questions. Miranda finds herself on a mysterious journey to discover the truth behind her family’s past.

Hussey-Mayfield Library has extra copies of the book by the second-floor entrance. Be sure to read it and then join the community for events themed after the book!
