Staff Introductions: Andrea Gallagher, Youth Services Librarian

Get to know the HMMPL staff!

Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members.

This week, Andrea Gallagher, a Youth Services Librarian at the Zionsville Branch.

Here are a few fun facts about her:

Hobbies: Reading (obviously), listening to music, singing (though not professionally), and spending time with my family and our dog. Yes, you’ll see me at ZCHS cross country and track meets in their respective seasons!

Favorite Book Genre: Fiction, mainly youth/tween/teen, especially science fiction, although I also love a good mystery – I am a voracious reader!

Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: I don’t really have a favorite because I like a wide variety of music, but I’ve been on an old-school Fleetwood Mac kick recently.

Years at HMMPL: A little over 7.5!

Favorite part of working at the Library: I really enjoy finding the kids of our community books that are just what they want and also watching the kids enjoy solving the puzzles to break in to the break-in boxes.

Favorite Snack: Dried pineapple, anything blueberry, or chocolate!

Where will patrons find you at the Library: At the Youth Services desk at the Zionsville location, out in the stacks hunting up some great reads, or in one of the program rooms running youth/tween break-in box, toddler story times, or animal adventure programs (with the Zionsville Nature Center staff).
