Apr 29, 2025 Meet Chef Tanorria Askew Nickson
We have an exciting announcement! As part of the 2025 Summer Reading Program, Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library is excited to present a cooking demonstration with Chef Tanorria Askew Nickson. Chef Tanorria is a local personal chef through Tanorria’s Table. She is a food creative, public speaker, co-host of the Black Girls Eating podcast, and a racial injustice change-maker. She likes to put a modern spin on high flavor comfort food. She more than proved her skills as a chef while competing on Season 7 of Master Chef, where she placed 4th.
As part of the demonstration, each attendee will receive a recipe card as well as get to sample the amazing food!
Chef Tanorria will hold a book signing after the event. If you register before June 6 you can request a pre-ordered copy of Chef’s book, Staples + 5: 100 Simple Recipes to Make the Most of your Pantry to pick up at the demonstration. Unfortunately, additional books will not be available for purchase at the event, so register now!
