Get to know the HMMPL staff! Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members. This week, meet Julie Bigler, the Circulation Department Head. Here are a few fun facts about her.
Hobbies: Baking, gardening, jewelry-making, listening to audiobooks (while doing these other things)
Favorite Book Genre: Anything with at least a dash of romance!
Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: Favorites are so hard, but my current favorite music artist is Alina Baraz. Her music is just so rhythmic and calming to me.
Years at HMMPL: Since 2008, so 15 years now
Favorite part of working at the Library: Helping people! Whether it’s helping someone place a hold, finding something on the shelves, or even assisting to figure out how to access an app on their phone, my favorite part of working at the Library is being able to help out others.
Favorite Snack: Almonds, raisins, and cheese — healthy and yummy!
Where will patrons find you at the Library: Most often, I’m in my office on the 1st floor, but I can also be found at the 1st or 2nd floor Circulation desks or helping to cover one the Reference desks. I’m happy to assist wherever I’m needed!
