Staff Introductions: Michelle Stallman, Youth Librarian

Get to know the HMMPL staff! Each week, we’re featuring one of our amazing staff members. This week, meet Michelle Stallman, a Librarian in the Youth Department. Here are a few fun facts about her.

Hobbies: Riding my bike on different rail trails, tap dancing, hammocking in the woods, watching classic television, and playing Webkinz.

Favorite Book Genre: Tween Graphic Novels.

Favorite Movie/Song/Video Game: Movie: The Florida Project (a story about kids who live in an Orlando motel) or any documentary about 70s-2000s culture.

Song: My favorite genre is rap, but this year my favorite song was Dance the Night from the Barbie movie.

Video Game: Grand Theft Auto V.

Years at HMMPL: About 9.

Favorite part of working at the Library: Getting to interact with all the kids! I enjoy making connections with the many awesome kids here; they’re always making me laugh.

Favorite Snack: Cheese with prosciutto and salami.

Where will patrons find you at the Library: Either at the Youth Services desk, or running one of my programs, like break-in boxes, Preschool Pals, Animal Adventures, After-School Squad, chess, Tween Book Club, etc.
