In view of Gov. Holcomb’s recommendations, and with the health and well-being of our patrons and staff in mind, the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library will remain closed at least through May 1.
Closure Details
- All events and on-site services have been CANCELED.
- Our outside drop boxes will also remain CLOSED.
- Food for Fines will be extended for one week once the Library reopens.
Due Dates
Please DO NOT return items to the Library while we are closed. Due dates will be extended throughout our closing and overdue fines will be suspended.
Finding New Online Services for You
We are working to provide you with as many free online services as possible and have developed a new way for non-cardholders or New Library Patrons to Get a Library Card from home!
Get a Library Card within 24-Hours
Visit our Get a Card page, fill out the application, and all eligible applicants will receive an email within 24-hours with their new, personal Library Card information.
Please fill out an application for each person in your family who wants their own card. ALL ages are welcome to receive a card.
Cards issued while we are closed will expire within 6 months from the date of issue. When the Library reopens, please bring your valid ID to the Library to extend your expiration date.

Now that many of us are spending all of our time at home learning, working, or looking for work, we are pleased to offer Tutor.com!
With your Library Card, you may access:
- Free, live tutoring assistance for students in Grades K – early college, plus adults
- Document drop-off or immediate one-on-one assistance from vetted, expert tutors in 60 subjects and test-prep areas
- Career and resume assistance
- GRE®, GMAT®, LSAT®, and MCAT® practice tests
- AP practice exams
- And so much more
While you’re there, create a Tutor.com account to access the free, 24/7 services: Submit a paper for review, drop off a math question, take a practice quiz, or prep for the ACT/SAT, grad school tests, or AP exams. Younger students may also appreciate watching videos on math and English fundamentals.
Live tutoring is available every day from Noon – Midnight, but the rest of the services are waiting for you 24/7.
